Duration – 7 nights / 8 days

From March to April and from September till early November.

Day 1: Arrive Paro

You will be received by the Dragon Trekkers & Tours representatives. After the traditional welcome ceremony in a farmhouse nearby, you will be taken to your hotel. In the evening visit Drukgyel Dzong, Kyichu Lhakhang and Paro market. Overnight at hotel in Paro.

Day 2: Paro

In the morning, visit Ta Dzong (National Museum) and Rinpung Dzong. In the afternoon drive to Thimphu. You can take a walk around the Thimphu town in the evening. Overnight in Thimphu.

Day 3: Thimphu

Full day of sightseeing in Thimphu. Visit National Institute of Traditional Medicine, Institute of Zorig Chusum (thirteen traditional arts and crafts), National Library, Memorial Chorten and Handicrafts Emporium. Overnight at hotel in Thimphu.

Day 4: Thimphu – Trongsa

Your journey to central Bhutan starts today on the east west lateral highway. After an hour, you will cross the Dochu la pass at an altitude of 3100m and another two hours drive down hill will reach you to Wangduephodrang. Then move further towards east crossing Pele la pass at an altitude of 3300m. After crossing Pele la pass you will reach Chendbji Chorten. After reaching Trongsa, visit Ta Dzong and Trongsa Dzong in the evening. Overnight at hotel in Trongsa.

Day 5: Trongsa – Bumthang

After breakfast drive to Bumthang. Your lunch will be in Bumthang. In the afternoon visit Jakar Dzong, Kurjey Lhakhang, Jambay Lhakhang, Kuenchosum Lhakhang and Tamshing Lhakhang. Overnight at hotel in Bumthang.
After breakfast the company vehicle will reach you up to the trek point just below Kurjey Lhakhang. The trek route snakes along the Chamkhar Chu. Overnight at camp at an altitude of 3120m.

Day 6: Rest day at Jangothang

You can take a short walk and enjoy the beauty of nature.

Day 7: Gorsum – Lungsum (12 km 5 hours)

You will be walking through the dense forest of spruce, hemlock, cypress, juniper and maples. The trail is more or less muddy and ascends gradually till you reach the campsite at an altitude of 3160m.

Day 8: Lungsum – Tsochenche (15 km 6/7 hours)

Today you will pass through the dense forest till you reach at Tsochenchen at an altitude of 3400m.

Day 9: Tsochenchen – Dur Tshachu (17 km 7 hours)

The trek from Tsochenchen is uphill till you reach Julila pass. From here, if weather permits, you will see the view of the mountains. After crossing the pass, the trek trail descends till you reach the campsite. When you are passing from this route, you may see the musk deer, herd of blue sheep and Himalayan bear.

Day 10: Dur Tshachu (halt)

After breakfast, take a dip in the hot spring or hike around the camp area.\

Day 11: Dur Tshachu – Tsochenchen

Start early to cross the Julila pass. After the pass you have make a gradual descend till you reach the campsite.

Day 12: Tsochenchen – Gorsum/h5>
Today the trek should start early because slightly long distance to reach the Camp at Gorsum.

Day 13: Gorsum – Bumthang

From Gorsum walk downhill till you cross the Dur village. Then follow the new motor road from where you will make your way back to Bumthang. After lunch enjoy the view of Bumthang. Overnight at hotel in Bumthang.

Day 14: Bumthang – Wangduephodrang

After breakfast, drive to Wangduephodrang and visit Wangduephodrang Dzong. Overnight at hotel in Punakha.

Day 15: Punakha – Thimphu

After breakfast, visit Punakha Dzong and then drive to Thimphu. Night halt at hotel in Thimphu.

Day 16: Thimphu – Paro

In the morning visit Thimphu weekly market and tour the Thimphu city. After lunch drive to Paro. Night halt at hotel in Paro.

Day 17:Paro depart

After breakfast drive to Paro Airport. The guide will accompany you to the Airport to see you off.
