Duration – 9 nights / 10 days

This trek is possible throughout the winters.

Day 1: Arrive Paro

On arrival at Paro Airport, you will be received by Dragon Trekkers & Tours representative and transfer to hotel at Paro. Night halt in Paro.

Day 2: Paro–Thimphu

In the morning visit the National Museum (Ta Dzong), Rinpung Dzong, Drukgyel Dzong and Kyichu Lhakhang. After lunch drive to Thimphu. Overnight at hotel in Thimphu.

Day 3: Thimphu

Full day of sightseeing in Thimphu. Visit Memorial Chorten, National Library, Tashichhodzong, the Institute of Zorig Chusum and handicrafts. After lunch, visit weekly market and Thimphu town. Overnight at hotel in Thimphu.

Day 4: Thimphu–Khuruthang

You will cross the Dochula pass at an altitude of 3100. You can see the views of mountain ranges from the Dochula pass. Lunch at campsite and then visit Punakha Dzong. Overnight camp at Khuruthang.

Day 5: Khuruthang–Limukha

The trek begins with a gradual climb through chirpine forests. On the way, visit a village called Dompala.

Day 6: Limukha–Chungsaka (14 km 5/6 hours)

The trail today takes you through rhododendrons and oak forested areas. The route passes through the famous Drukpa Kuenley Lhakhang. Overnight in camp.

Day 7: Chungsaka-Semtengang (13 km 5 hours)

The trek will pass through the village of Sha (Wangduephodrang district). Camp at Samteygang, by the side of a lake.

Day 8: Samteygang–Wangduephodrang/Thimphu

The trail drops till the motor road where your vehicle will be waiting to take you to Wangduephodrang. Lunch at Wangduephodrang. After lunch drive to Thimphu. Overnight at hotel in Thimphu.

Day 9: Thimphu–Paro

In the morning visit Simtokha Dzong and Denchencholing palace. After lunch drive to Paro. Overnight at hotel in Paro.

Day 10: Paro Departure

After breakfast drive to Paro International Airport for the flight to another destination. The guide will see you off at the airport.
